naming this page[]

I don't understand what's going on with these pages. Most other pages on this wiki go by a weapon's in-game name, even though we clearly know what it is. The Red9 page is called Red9, even though we clearly know it is a Mauser C96. The same thing applies to the Punisher and Semi-Auto Rifle pages. Those weapons are exact matches to their real-world counterparts, but we don't use the real-world name as the page title.

But the Combat SMG only slightly resembles a TDI vector and the page is called Vector? You can clearly see an assault rifle magazine loaded into it, and many of the proportions of the body don't quite line up with a real Vector. We should just stick with the in-game names like we do on nearly every other page.Play2often 01:52, January 16, 2012 (UTC)play2often.

The problem with RE4 weapons is that they weren't intended to represent an actual firearm, though they did use real weapons for inspiration. The only other times I've seen the item name used is when someone puts down "handgun" or "shotgun", and even then almost all of them are named in the examination. However, as you have pointed out that there are indeed differences between this firearm and the one the pagemover believed, we should move it back to its generic name - it could be that Slant Six created their own firearms, too.-- Forerunner 02:07, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
