Taxidermy room (Spencer Mansion) is an area of that is located second floor on the west of Spencer Mansion.This area is featured in Resident Evil (1996) and Resident Evil remake (2002)
It is a room that contains various of stuff animals. The room is brighten up by the lights on the ceiling and on the wall. A small carpet covered a chair with towel and the round table with books and bottles.
In the 2002 Remake, a large carpet covered the whole floor of this room. There is a lamp, few papers and books that are placed on a small rounded table.
Player must use the Helmet Key to unlocked the door to this room. Player can press the switch to turn on and off the light in this room. A Red Gemstone can be seen placed on a deer, player can obtain it only by turning off the light, which the gem glows in the dark. The steps can be push below the deer, climb it to reach it. Other items that can be found; Shotgun Shell and Magnum round.
In Remake, player can push the small cabin below the animal heads. In order to obtain the red and yellow gems, player must turn off the lights. Each gems has different uses:
- Yellow Gemstone - Placed on the Tiger statue inside the Tiger Statue room to reveal one of the MO Disks.
- Red Gemstone - It is to be combine with the Jewelry Box to make the pieces come out.
As the lights is off, run under the moving stuffed eagle, and quickly climb the small cabin and grab the Gem before the eagle thing stops and makes a clicking noise. Player can use the same strategy to obtain the other gem.
