Yo can anyone help me out with figuring out the best ways to take down the garrador in the castle on mercenaries with leon because im really having trobule with that also the giant chainsaw guy in waterworld also with leon thanks for reading and i would really like the help of other gamers. Lol xD
For the Giant Chainsaw Men, there's no easy way to get rid of them. So I'd say look for them as soon as the stage begins so they don't kill you when you've put a lot of work into a run. Use the Riot Gun and do your best to get 2 headshots a row. This is the only sure way to get them to flinch.
For Garrador, its sorta mind over matter. Play as you would normally, they attack much slower in the Mercenaries, its actually pretty easy to avoid them. Dealing with them in a crowd is what makes them difficult. Again, look for the one in the beginning of the stage and kill it right away. Fight it in the open areas, not in the building. I also suggest just avoid spawning the other at the end by not entering the final area. You still can get a 5-star without the last Garador and bonus time.
Also, you can try throwing a flash grenade (there's at least one in the Castle stage that any character can pick up iirc) over the Garrador's heads from in front of them. Because they'll hear the sound of the flash grenade, they'll attempt to charge at the sound from behind them, which makes them turn their back to you and gives an opening for a gunshot to their back and blinds any Cultists (unless they have masks) nearby.
Also, for Giant Chainsaw man, in addition to repeatedly shooting him in the face with the Riot Gun, try luring him near explosive barrels and also take advantage of Frag grenade pick ups. Leon gets frag grenade pickups on occasions despite not starting with them in his inventory.
Thanks You guys i was able to beat it and finally get the Handcannon now finally after almost a year i have completly beat resident evil 4 . And to others like me who had the same problem good lucky to you because it wasnt easy for me when i started but i got alot better PEACEOFF LOL XD
I also had some trouble beating the Chainsaw dude at the waterworld using Leon & Ada in RE4 (Usually every attack resulting Death instantly). I usually try to keep my distance between the chainsaw dude and keep firing. The garrador is easier than the chainsaw dude.
The Chainsaw sisters are kinda tricky with Leon and Ada but only because they seem to have significantly more health than some of the other bosses. Their health and durability seem to be the main thing that kills me while playing as Leon or Ada. (well that and general carelessness lol)
Oh and Parallel, there's actually a third Garrador. It's the armored variant. He comes out of the opposite wall but only when the player's score is very high.
I just heard the name "waterworld" off of mercenarie videos on youtube. So I have no clue but If its in the gamecube guide then i guess Its correct. But Im not sure because I never used any of the actual guides.

That's the thing, it comes from the BradyGame's English guide. Their guides are unchecked by Capcom Japan so they may not even be accurate. That combined with the fact BradyGames guides' are usually not as complete as others and contain obvious errors and sometimes made up info we don't consider them a reliable source.
In this specific case, the stages have no name at all in the game and a Japanese proofread guide calls them Stage-1, Stage-2 etc.
Point though, its not necessarily accurate if its from a guidebook.
Yeah, even the Japanese guide books can sometimes be wrong, or at least cause descrepancies (I fucked up spelling that I know it.) For example Hersh is actually spelled as "Hursh" in a number of the Japanese guide books, but only when Hersh is referred to in English.
Well it's a gaming channel, what I do tends to vary and depend upon what I'm in the mood for. I do have some RE vids though. (and yes, I'm well aware this thread's a little old, I figured I'd reply though to cover any "loose ends" to the previous question.)
