"Thrown into despair"[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica.
Plot[]
After using the lighter, Claire is surprised by the man standing in front of her cell. Rodrigo opens her cell and goes back to his chair who appears to be hurt, he then throws his empty hemostatic capsule out of anger and starts commenting on the confusing situation. Claire asks what he meant to which he replied that she's free to leave the complex, but it's not like she's going to make it out alive. Claire asks about what he's going to do, but Rodrigo just shrug off the question by telling her not to worry about him.
Transcript[]
Rodrigo Juan Raval: "Perfect!"
"Go on, get out of here, this place is finished. I don't know, it might have been a special forces team. But in any case, this prison has been taken over, the troops have been wiped out."
Claire Redfield: "What are you saying?"
Rodrigo: "You're free to leave the complex, but you may as well know, you have no chance of getting off this island."
Claire: "And what about you, what are you going to do?"
Rodrigo: "Don't worry about me."
Rodrigo Juan Raval: "くそっ"
"行け…どこへでも"
ここはもうおしまいだ"
"どこの組織の特殊部隊か知らんが"
"得体の知れない連中に襲われ刑務所は全滅した"
Claire Redfield: "何ですって？"
Rodrigo: "お前の好きにするがいい"
"島から出られる可能性はほとんどないがな"
Claire: "あなたはどうするの？"
