In the original game, the Tyrant in its normal form has a hitpoint value of 220; its most powerful attack being the "Three-stage attack", dealing 34 damage. In its Super Tyrant form, it has a value of 600, with the same attack being its most powerful. Reducing the Super Tyrant's hitpoint value to 400 will unlock the Rocket Launcher for use.
In the remake, the Tyrant instead has a hitpoint value of 800 in its normal form in comparison to Chris and Jill's 1400 and 960, respectively. In its Super Tyrant form, its value is increased to 6000. The Rocket Launcher will be dropped when it has taken around 2400 points in damage.
The Tyrant is capable of six unique combat moves in Resident Evil, with the first form only using three.
