Here's the first Staff Blog for the new year. We've had a few new additions brought in, and rapidly increased the size of some smaller articles, leading to the article counter breaking a couple times and sending us up and down from 9000.
In the above image, we see the new character, "Reform", being consumed by zombies to distract them from his family.

The new VisualEditor is a "WYSIWYG" ("What You See Is What You Get") editor, and derivation of Wikia's Visual editor by way of Wikipedia's redesign. Functionally, they are identical, with the exception that the wikitext markup cannot be inserted into pages as a cheat way of getting out of switching between "Source" and "Visual". This new method allows more of those "jigsaw puzzle" icons to be displayed the way they are in articles, so it's like you're using Preview over and over. As tested on the Dino Crisis Wiki, you can always go back into "Source Editor" by the "More" drop-down button mid-edit, should you REALLY want to use wikitext markup. Along with that, the drop-down box next to the primary page Edit button offers use of the "Classic Editor" you've known over the past three years.
So... in summary. It's just like the 'Visual' we already use. Just that it looks like the published article, already and that you have a Spell Checker function built-in.
