"Zǐlì" (written as "紫麗", pronounced as "Julie"; real name unknown) was an agent hired by Shén Yà Pharmaceutical. In 2014, she posed as a gravure idol to participate in the reality show Idol Survival. Her mission under this cover was to collect data on bio-organic weaponry after Shén Yà had discovered an Umbrella laboratory on Sonido de Tortuga Island. She eventually revealed her true colors and became the final antagonist of BIOHAZARD heavenly island.
Biography[]
Introduced as a gravure model and one of the participants of the Idol Survival show, Zǐlì was first seen asking for a fellow model named Coco. She was then seen aboard the yacht of Mike D. Seaman where she was forced to bare her breasts for his enjoyment. As she was doing this, they heard a sound from within the yacht. Upon going below, they found that the engine room had been trashed.
Some time later, Mike and Zǐlì infiltrated the shrine that belonged to a Shaman who was feared by the superstitious local population, killing guards along the way. Upon entering the shrine, the pair discovered a four-armed creature called the "Schraube Dämon" and two women, Marilou Mabou and Inéz Diaco. The shaman then appeared and unleashed the creature against the intruders. Mike was killed, but Zǐlì escaped when Marilou and Inéz distracted it.
Later Zǐlì's true objective was revealed when Claire Redfield and the group of survivors led by Takeru Tominaga discovered the abandoned military facility where Dirk Miller (the true identity of the Shaman) was working on the "Kodoku Plan", a plot to create and then extract a new viral bioweapon from the most powerful and "perfect” infected specimen. While the other survivors were distracted Zǐlì infiltrated the facilities control room and killed Miller after using his retinal scan to activate the automated sample extraction protocol. After retrieving the sample from the test subject she was subsequently confronted by the survivors, Zǐlì managed to overpower both Claire and Takeru with her amazing fighting skills.
She then hung Takeru over a high stairway and began beating him with a metal pipe, explaining that she enjoys torture. Before she could inflict any serious damage though, a zombified Laura Bierce grabbed her from behind, biting her on the neck and causing the two women to fall over a railing and plummet into the depths of the facility. Before she could die though she used the more powerful sample of Miller's virus synthesized from the harpoon-wielding mutant nicknamed "Morio" to infect herself saving her life and transforming her into a B.O.W.

Later while Claire's group confronted a squad of mercenaries sent to Sonido de Tortuga to acquire the viral sample, Zǐlì returned, having mutated into a giant but incredibly fast monster armed with bladed tentacles on her head and retaining her human intelligence. The mutated Zǐlì slaughtered the mercenaries before fighting Takeru and Mayu. After failing to kill them she then decided to turn her attention to Marilou. Before she could carry out her murderous objective though, she was unexpectedly attacked by Morio, who miraculously had survived the extraction of the virus sample from his body. During the ensuing fight, the harpoon-wielding creature's mask fell off and Marilou realized Morio was in fact her brother Eliseo, who had apparently been captured by Dirk Miller and experimented on. While this was happening Claire took advantage of the two monsters distraction to grab a rocket launcher and fired upon them. The attack seemingly killed the duo with Morio being blown to bits and Zǐlì being decapitated.

Later though after a B.SAA helicopter departed carrying Claire, Parker and Marilou, Zǐlì’s severed head would revive itself and attack a second helicopter that was sent to pick up Takeru and Mayu. Successfully stabbing the pilot she then attempted to impale Takeru and Mayu but was forced outside by B.S.A.A. agent Hendrick, who managed to cut off one of her tentacle before passing out due to injuries he had sustained. Zǐlì then was attacked by Takeru despite the latter being armed with only a machete and a grenade. In the ensuing struggle Zǐlì managed to grab him but before she could finish him off she was attacked from behind by Mayu, who had managed to recover the machete that Takeru had dropped. Now free from the monster’s grasp Takeru capitalized on the moment to throw his grenade into Zǐlì’s mouth. Realizing what had happened the monster desperately tried to spit the explosive out but before she could Takeru stabbed her with the machete, pinning her mouth shut, and allowing him and Mayu to jump into a nearby pitfall trap which had been dug earlier for the Idol Survival show. Shortly afterward the grenade exploded and with that the monstrous Zǐlì was finally killed.
Skills and Abilities[]
Initially, Zǐlì seemed to display no abilities beyond what would be expected of a gravure idol. However, in truth she was a highly skilled and sadistic Shén Yà agent, possessing abilities which including combat training and stealth. Evidence of her skills was shown while assisting Mike, with her assassinating several guards standing between them and Miller’s research facility via neck snaps and gouging out their eyes. Her abilities later allowed her to kill Dirk Miller using only a wire and then handily disarm Claire Redfield before hurling her across the room.
After mutating herself, Zǐlì gained drastically enhanced physical abilities including enhanced strength, blindingly fast speed, and a bevy of natural weaponry; fangs, claws, and multiple tentacles armed with bony blades. She also displayed the ability to survive as nothing but a head following Claire's attempt to kill her and Morio with a rocket.
